MANUFACTURING SUPPORT ENGINEER
Bionic Power Inc. is a Vancouver-based company developing lightweight, high-mobility exoskeleton technology for the medical and military markets. Our first product is a pediatric gait rehabilitation device designed to improve crouch gait, often seen with cerebral palsy (CP), spina bifida and other knee extension deficiency disorders.
Assistive exoskeleton technology has shown great promise for gait rehabilitation. Currently, almost 50% of children with CP will lose the ability to walk in adulthood – we aim to change this. Bionic Power is commercializing its military exoskeleton technology to become light-weight and affordable for the medical market. Our first device is in clinical trials with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and BC Children’s Hospital, and we aim to commercialize within the next 12 months.
Reporting to the Mechanical Team Lead, the Mechanical Support Engineer will be responsible for the following tasks:
We have a small team of dedicated engineers in our Vancouver facility and are looking for a motivated engineer who is passionate about helping others while solving complex engineering problems. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience, a mechanical engineering degree and excellent communication skills.

HARDWARE ENGINEERING TEAM LEAD

Our first device is in clinical trials with the National Institutes of Health (NIH – Bethesda, MD), and at BC Children’s Hospital (Vancouver, BC). We aim to commercialize within the next 12 months.
Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, the hardware team lead will be responsible for team management, as well as hardware development, testing and verification. This is a senior role and will include mentoring and task management for our electrical team.
We have a small team of dedicated engineers in our Vancouver facility and are looking for a motivated engineer who is passionate about helping others while solving complex engineering problems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years design experience, an electrical engineering degree (advanced degree would be an asset) and excellent communication skills.
